Community Services

To ask questions or schedule an appointment for any of the below topics, please call Tricia at (435) 649-6706 ext. 114.

Station Tours – Station tours are conducted on a scheduled basis.  Children meet with the crew on duty and are given a tour of the station.  During the tour children are educated on basic fire safety practices and calling 9 -1-1 in the event of an emergency.  If the crew is not sent out on a call, children are given an opportunity to see apparatus and equipment.

Fire Extinguisher Training Classes

Fire Extinguisher Training –   Fire Extinguisher classes offered to the community, teach participants how to extinguish small fires using an extinguisher.  Participants will watch a ten-minute video on the basics of using an extinguisher and participate in a short discussion and review of the important points.   Following the discussion, participants are taken outside where they get hands-on extinguishment of a controlled liquid fuel fire.  Facilities should plan to use their own extinguishers and to have them serviced immediately following the class.

Child Safety Seat Inspections – Statistics show that 85% of car seats are used incorrectly.  Some of these misuses are minor, but some of them are very serious and could result in a tragic outcome.  Tricia Hurd is a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and will schedule an appointment almost anytime.  Call if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment for assistance with installing your child safety seat correctly.

Change Your Clock – Change Your Battery
