BLS Certification

Online Courses are offered through American Heart Association at: http://www.onlineaha.org .  Complete the online course and schedule hands-on skills check with PCFD for $25.00.

The AHA Basic Life Support CPR/AED course program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Basic Life Support training for their clinical duties. HeartCode® BLS focuses on responding to life-threatening cardiac arrest and choking emergencies. In this course the students learn how to identify signs of and respond to adult, child, and infant cardiac arrest. Participants practice using proper CPR technique and utilizing AEDs in the appropriate way.

Whether you’re an RN, EMT, or other healthcare provider, BLS (Basic Life Support) classes are intended to provide you with with the ability to recognize and properly respond to a variety of life-threatening situations.

The American Healthcare Association’s website offers an online course for recertification as a BLS Healthcare Provider. The PCFD provides the practical skills assessment needed for re-certification for $25.
