With all the snow this winter, we want to remind everyone to keep your hydrant clear. A 3-foot clear space shall be maintained around the circumference of fire hydrants… unobstructed access to fire hydrants shall be maintained at all times (IFC Section 507)
Remove any snow and ice.
Clear a wide enough perimeter around the hydrant for firefighters to work.
Clear a path from the hydrant to the street.
